Philippines, here we go...

Estou neste exato momento fazendo as malas para o destino Filipinas, amanhã à tarde.
Será a primeira viagem de férias em outro país. Quem diria que eu estaria indo para as Filipinas 1 ano atrás? Essa é a vida em suma forma única de modificar as coisas. VIVA LA VIDA!
Right now, I'm packing my stuff for my trip to the Philippines. This is the first time I'm travelling to another country for vacations. Who would think I'll be going to Philippines one year before? That's life and its particular way of changing things. VIVA LA VIDA!

Water Fountain in Japan

Segundo a própria fonte, ela pode ser encontrada num lugar chamado Canal City. Não sei mais nada além disso, portanto nem adianta me perguntar =P. Encontrei esse vídeo no blog do amigo ucraniano. Bacana né?
According to the fountain itself, it's located in Canal City. Don't ask me anything else, because I have no idea. I found this video in a friend's blog. Pretty cool, isn't it?

Osaka Aquarium

Fomos (IENE) ao Aquário de Osaka, finalmente. Digo finalmente, porque moramos em Osaka por 6 meses, e não fomos visitar esse aquário que é um dos principais pontos turísticos da cidade.
We (IENE) finally went to Osaka Aquarium. I mean, after living in Osaka for 6 months and not going to this which is one of the main turist attractions there.

O lugar não parece grande por fora, e acho que não deve ser grande mesmo.. haha.. mas o negócio é mais embaixo, bem pra baixo! =P Vamos caminhando em trajetória descendente, assim podemos conferir os aquários (com seus espécimes) de várias profundidades. Ainda não sei como eles fizeram pra gente ir descendo, descendo e descendo, e no final sair no mesmo espaço que entramos!!! Coisas do Japão...
The place doesn't seem to be that big looking from outside. But it's definitely deep.. hahaha.. Inside, it's a long walk all the way down.. down, down and down.. going deeper and deeper which gives you the chance to see all the aquariums from different depths. But one really fascinating thing is how you walk all the way down and exit the same level you entered!!! Only in Japan...

Curiosamente, tinha uma preguiça dividiam o aquário com uma tartaruga e um pato. Acho que era uma seção tipo "Sobrou-um-aquário-e-não-sabemos-o-que-por". Afinal, não é todo dia que vemos uma preguiça num aquário. hahaha.. outro exemplar brasileiro que tinha lá era um Pirarucu. Acreditem ou não, vi um Pirarucu pela primeira vez no Japão hahahahahahaha... já sei, já sei... "só o Igor" Mas como esse bicho é grande, caramba!
I even found a Sloth which is a South American specimen (also called Bicho-Preguiça in Brazil). It was sharing the aquarium with a turtle and a duck. Why were they there? Maybe it was a "there-is-one-aquarium-left-and-we-don't-know-what-to-put-in" case. A popular fish from my hometown called Pirarucu was also there. Believe it or not, it was the first time I saw one.. hahaha...

Facebook or Geochallenge Account?

Uma das redes sociais mais famosas entre os estudantes internacionais é definitivamente
o Facebook. Mas, nem o Orkut que tenho há tempos eu uso direito, portanto fiz a minha conta do Facebook na mesma intenção do Orkut, trocar mensagens com quem acha que é mais prático mandar um "scrap" do que um email.
Among international students in Japan, Facebook is the most popular social network. In Brazil, Orkut is the most popular, even though I barely use it, only replying scraps. Having the same idea for Facebook, I created an account.

Porém, a surpresa foi descobrir um jogo no Facebook chamado Geochallenge. Basicamente temos que saber bandeiras, mapas e localizacoes geograficas de cidades e monumentos do mundo todo. Simples e excelente, chega a ser um aprendizado viciante!
However, I surprisingly found an interesting game in Facebook called Geochallenge. It's basically a geography test. You have to identify flags, maps and worldwide city and monuments location. A simple and fun addicting way to learn!
